The Passive House Days
The Passive House Days are an international event in which hundreds of buildings in Germany, Austria, Belgium, the USA or New Zealand participate worldwide. Thanks to this, all those interested in healthy and energy-saving living have the opportunity to visit both occupied and still under construction passive houses.
On the upcoming weekend, an international event called Days of Passive Houses will take place in the Czech Republic. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit both inhabited and under-construction passive houses, which are characterized by a well-insulated envelope, a healthy indoor environment, and minimal costs for year-round thermal comfort. The event is coordinated by the professional association Passive House Center and is free for visitors. The open houses can be found in several regions, including Plzeň, Karlovy Vary, Středočeský, Liberecký, Královéhradecký, Jihomoravský, Vysočina, and Prague. Passive houses have low energy requirements and can utilize renewable or alternative energy sources. They also demonstrate how buildings can adapt to climate change and meet increasingly strict legislative requirements. The event will also include a program of guided tours and educational activities. For more information, visit the website of the Days of Passive Houses event.
